Overview
The cricket club’s existing temporary seating was removed and replaced with a brand new 2,600-seater permanent grandstand, as part of its redevelopment programme to develop its reach within Greater London.
Key requirements
The club required a new stand to comply with local authority planning requirements and address the need to follow the curvature of the cricket pitch at the Beckenham ground, while also giving spectators an optimum viewing experience.
Coordinating colours
The new stand was kitted out with beautiful green seats to match the club’s colours, set into a concrete structure with stylish timber cladding to the rear and side.
The curvature of the pitch really sets off the overall aesthetic. Internally, the club gained improved toilet facilities and roller shutter entrances. The project took just five months to complete.
”The club has wanted to develop its London base for a long time, and we can now look forward to experiencing a high quality cricket venue in Beckenham.
